Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started & Access

Is Vidrush open to the public? Can I just sign up?

A: Not yet. Vidrush is in a controlled-access phase. You cannot simply sign up without an invitation. You must either receive a direct invite via email, apply to the waitlist on the homepage, or be invited to an existing Team Workspace.

I want to invite a team member, but they are stuck on the waitlist. What do I do?

A: You can fast-track them. Have your team member sign up using the specific access code VIDRUSHREFFERAL10. This bypasses the manual approval queue instantly. Once their account is active, you can invite them to your workspace via the Settings menu.

What are the support hours? Why isn’t anyone answering my ticket?

A: Our team is distributed across Asia and Europe. We have a standard downtime window between 5 AM – 11 AM Singapore Time. Please allow a few hours for us to investigate complex tickets or grant manual permissions.

Is there a free trial available?

A: No. Vidrush does not provide a free trial. It is currently in a “controlled-access phase,” meaning new accounts are approved via waitlist or invitation only.

What platforms does Vidrush support?

A: Vidrush is fully web-based. It works on modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.) across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. No software downloads are required.

Is my content secure?

A: Yes. All uploaded content and generated videos are encrypted and stored securely. Vidrush respects user privacy and will never share your data without permission.

Billing, Credits & Plans

How much does a video actually cost to make?

A: Vidrush uses a credit-based system.

In Credits: The system deducts approximately 55 Credits per minute of final generated video.

In Dollars: This translates to roughly 1.93to1.93 to 2.72 per minute, depending on which plan you are on (the Scale plan offers the lowest cost per minute).

Note: Yearly plans offer an additional ~20% discount on these rates.

What’s Included: This cost covers the entire production pipeline: scriptwriting, voiceover, music licensing, stock footage sourcing, motion graphics, and rendering.

Do my unused credits roll over to the next month?

A: No. Credits are valid only during the active billing cycle. If your plan resets on the 5th, any unused credits expire at midnight on the 4th.

Does uploading my own voiceover save credits?

A: No. The credit cost covers the entire AI pipeline (research, scripting, visual sourcing, rendering), not just the voice generation. Using your own voice in the editor costs the same as generating one with AI.

How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

A: You can change plans in the Billing portal, but there is one critical rule: You must turn OFF “Pay-As-You-Go” (PAYG) in your settings before the system will allow you to change your subscription tier.

Why is my invoice higher than the plan price? (EU/UK/AU Users)

A: If you are in these regions, you will see a 21% Service Fee added to your invoice. This is a temporary placeholder for VAT until our official tax registration is complete in early December. Once registered, we will reissue past invoices with the correct VAT labeling so businesses can reclaim it.

Prompting & Generation Strategy

Why did my generation fail immediately?

A: You likely used a Command Prefix. If you start your prompt with “Make a video about…” or “Create a documentary…”, the AI will try to narrate that instruction.

Fix: Remove the command. Start directly with the story summary: “This video explores the history of…”

Why did the AI ignore my visual instructions (e.g., [SHOW MAP])?

A: The Vidrush Footage Agent matches visuals to spoken words, not stage directions. It cannot read text inside brackets like [SHOW BANK] or [CUT TO MUGSHOT].

Fix: Write visually. Instead of [SHOW BANK], write “The robbers approached the First National Bank…”

Why does my script sound robotic and boring?

A: You likely used an AI-voiced video as your Reference Video link. The AI mimics what you feed it.

Fix: Always link to a human-narrated documentary (like the channel “Fern”) in the Reference Video field. This teaches the AI natural pacing and human sentence structure.

Can I force the AI to use a specific Intro/Hook verbatim?

A: Not directly in the prompt. The AI interprets the prompt as a creative brief and will likely rewrite your text to fit the flow.

Fix: Use the “Generate & Replace” workflow. Let the AI generate the video, then delete the intro audio in the editor and upload your own pre-recorded hook.

My prompt keeps getting a “Low Footage Availability” warning. Why?

A: You are likely asking for something that doesn’t have public stock footage, such as:

  • Hyper-specific local crimes (small town cases with no news footage).
  • Fictional scenarios (“Alien invasion of 2025”).
  • Private events (“My cousin’s wedding”).

Fix: Broaden your topic or allow the AI to use generic 3D animations to illustrate concepts where no footage exists.

Can I use Vidrush to make compilation videos (e.g., “Funny TikToks”)?

A: No. Vidrush cannot aggregate clips while preserving their original audio. It is designed for narration-over-B-roll content only.

What are the item limits for Top 10 videos?

A: To ensure proper pacing, you must follow these limits:

  • 6–8 min: 3–8 items
  • 10–12 min: 5–10 items
  • 18–20 min: 7–20 items
  • 30–40 min: 15–40 items

I have a script already. How do I format it so it doesn’t break?

A: Your script must be “Narration Ready.”

No Tabs: Do not use tab spaces to indent paragraphs.

No Speaker Labels: Remove “NARRATOR:” or character names.

No Timestamps: Remove (0:00).

Smart CTA: If you write “Subscribe” at the end, the system will automatically add the Subscribe Animation overlay.

The Video Editor

Can I replace the stock footage the AI chose?

A: Yes. Click on the clip in the timeline and select “Replace Media.” You can search the internal stock library, upload your own file from the “Local” tab, or paste a direct image/video URL from the internet to grab a specific asset instantly.

How do I add a “Subscribe” button to my video?

A: Go to the “Animations” tab on the left sidebar. You will find the Subscribe CTA Overlay there. Drag and drop it onto your timeline (usually at the end).

Pro Tip: If you use a Custom Script and write “Subscribe for more” at the end, the AI will often add this for you automatically.

I made a mess of the timeline. Can I start over?

A: Yes. You have two options:

History Tab: Use the left sidebar to revert to a previous snapshot (Auto-Save is enabled).

Magic Reset: Click the “Reset Timeline” button in the settings panel. This reverts the entire project to the initial state generated by the AI, removing all manual edits.

The transitions are too loud/annoying. Can I change them?

A: Yes. Vidrush uses a Smart Transition System (typically a 70/30 ratio of cuts to transitions).

To edit one: Click the specific transition marker on the timeline to change its type or delete it.

To disable all: Use the “Show Transitions” master toggle in the Canvas Settings to hide them globally.

To lower volume: Use the “Template SFX” slider in the Sound Controls panel.

Why is it so hard to select small clips on the timeline?

A: You need to zoom in. Use Ctrl + Mouse Wheel (or the zoom slider in settings) to expand the timeline view for precision editing.

Can I get the text of the narration to use for my YouTube description?

A: Yes. Click the “Export Transcript” icon in the bottom right toolbar to download the full text file.

Can I change the voiceover AFTER the video is generated?

A: Not directly in the timeline yet.

The Workaround: Export the transcript, regenerate the voiceover externally (e.g., in ElevenLabs), and then upload the new audio file into the editor to replace the old one.

Warning: If you simply dislike the voice tone, there is no free “regenerate” button. You must use credits to generate a new video or replace the audio manually.

How do I find the URL of an image Vidrush used so I can edit it?

A:

For Animations (Purple blocks): You can see the link in the Media Tab.

For Standard Images (Green blocks): You cannot see the URL directly.

Pro Tip: Use Google Lens or Bing Visual Search to find the source image, copy that URL, and then use it to replace the media or add an animation.

My editor is buffering or freezing. What do I do?

A: This often happens with large projects (30+ mins) on slower connections.

Fix 1: Refresh the page (Auto-save will keep your work).

Fix 2: Try using Microsoft Edge instead of Chrome; some users report better performance.

Fix 3: Close the tab and open a fresh one.

How do I move the “Arrow Callout” or other specific animations?

A: If you don’t see a setting for it in the left panel, that template is not customizable yet. You can open a feature request ticket on Discord to ask for customization options.

My video won’t render or gets stuck. How do I fix it?

A: This is often caused by a “ghost clip” on the timeline.

  1. Scroll through your timeline and look for a section where no image or video appears (you only see the background grid/color).
  2. Delete that specific empty visual block.
  3. Try rendering again. This usually clears the blockage immediately.

I found a typo in the narration after the video was generated. Can I just edit the text and have the AI re-read it?

A: No. You cannot regenerate specific voice segments inside the Vidrush editor yet.

The Workaround: You must export the transcript, fix the text, generate that specific sentence in an external tool (like ElevenLabs), and upload the new audio file into the Vidrush editor to replace the old segment.

Why does the AI keep showing the same 3 images over and over?

A: You have hit a “Content Desert.” This happens when you pick a hyper-specific topic (e.g., “A local crime case from 1990”) that has very little footage in stock libraries.

The Fix: The AI is forced to loop the few images it found. You need to manually replace these clips in the editor with Google Images using the “Copy Image Address” method, or choose a broader topic next time.

Can I add a missing clip or extend the video length in the editor?

A: Currently, you cannot easily split/extend the total timeline to add new sections in the middle.

Workaround: Export the video and add the missing clip in an external editor like CapCut.

Audio, Voice & Music Issues

Help! The voiceover is cutting out, slurring, or speaking gibberish in the preview!

A: DO NOT PANIC. This is almost always a browser preview buffering issue, especially around transitions. It is not a permanent error in the video.

The Fix: Click “Render Video.” 90% of these audio glitches resolve automatically in the final rendered file. Always render before reporting a bug.

The voice I chose disappeared or isn’t working.

A: ElevenLabs occasionally discontinues voices due to permission issues.

Known Bad Voice: Please avoid “Broadcast News Brian” (ID: K6Id9eFOS8sKqAqS5SeY). It has been disabled. Check the Discord for the latest “Bad Voice List.”

The background music is too loud. How do I fix it?

A: In the editor settings panel (right side), look for “Sound Controls.” Lower the “Audio Overlay” slider to reduce the music volume relative to the voiceover.

Can I upload my own voiceover?

A: Yes. Generate the video first with an AI voice (this consumes credits). Then, in the editor, delete the orange audio blocks and upload your own MP3/WAV file via the “Local” tab.

My voiceover quality drops or sounds different in the middle. Can I fix it?

A: This is often a pre-render bug. Render the video first. If the issue persists in the final file, report it to support.

Troubleshooting & Rendering

My video has been “Queued” for a long time.

A: This is normal during high-traffic periods. To ensure server stability, we queue requests. You can safely close the tab or turn off your computer. The process runs in the cloud, and the video will appear in “My Videos” when done (typically 50-60 minutes).

My download is taking forever or the filename is weird.

A: We recently updated this. Filenames are now based on your Project Title, and download speeds have been optimized. If it hangs, try refreshing the page—your latest render is saved in the download menu and won’t be lost.

Can I get a refund if I don’t like the video?

A: Refunds are generally only issued for technical failures (system errors, crashes). We cannot refund credits for “bad creative results” caused by poor prompts, low footage availability topics, or personal taste.

Can I get a refund if the AI picked some wrong footage?

A: No. Refunds are strict.

The Rule: We do not refund for “bad prompts,” creative mismatches, or small imperfections (e.g., 2-3 wrong clips in a 20-minute video). Just like with ElevenLabs or Midjourney, you are paying for the generation processing, not a guaranteed perfect creative result.

The Exception: We will refund if a large chunk of the video has genuine technical failures (system crashes, audio silence, corrupted files).

The Fix: Vidrush is an 80% solution. If there are small mistakes (“nitpicks”), use the Editor to swap the footage manually rather than requesting a refund.

AI Validator Warnings & Errors

What does “EXTREME_CONTENT_MISMATCH” mean?

A: Your script length doesn’t match your selected video duration.

Scenario A: You selected 30-40 minutes but only provided 3 bullet points. The AI has to hallucinate 20 minutes of fluff.

Scenario B: You selected 6-8 minutes but pasted a 10-page thesis. The AI has to rush through everything.

The Fix: Adjust your selected duration or add/remove points to match the “Golden Rule” (~0.5 talking points per minute).

Why did I get a “HYPER_SPECIFIC_VISUALS” warning?

A: You tried to direct the camera.

The Mistake: Writing [CUT TO DRONE SHOT] or [SHOW MUGSHOT].

The Fix: Delete the brackets. Write the visual into the narration: “Drone footage reveals the vast scale of the destruction…”

Can I make videos in Spanish, French, or German?

A: No. Currently, Vidrush supports English only.

Why: The Text-to-Speech (TTS) and Stock Footage search algorithms are optimized for English. Other languages may result in the NON_ENGLISH_REQUEST failure or gibberish audio.

I tried to make a “Compilation” or “Reaction” video and it failed.

A: These are Unsupported Video Types.

  • Vidrush cannot watch a YouTube video and “react” to it (no picture-in-picture).
  • Vidrush cannot aggregate TikToks and keep their original audio.

The Fix: Stick to Documentaries, Explainers, News, and Listicles.

Advanced Workflows

I want to clone the structure of a viral video exactly. How?

A: Use the “Direct Replication” Workflow.

  1. Take the viral video’s transcript.
  2. Ask an LLM (Claude/Grok) to “Summarize this into a 4-Pillar Master Prompt template.”
  3. Ask the LLM to “Research [New Topic] using this exact template.”
  4. Paste the result into Vidrush. This is faster than the broad “Meta-Analysis” method.

My niche is “Fiction” (e.g., Warhammer 40k Lore). Can I do it?

A: Yes, BUT you must frame it as a Documentary.

Wrong: “Write a story about a Space Marine fighting an Orc.” (The AI tries to find real footage of Space Marines -> Fails).

Right: “A documentary explaining the history and tactics of the Space Marines.” (The AI treats it as “history” and finds relevant sci-fi/gaming art or generic space footage).

Can I make YouTube Shorts, TikToks, or Reels (Vertical 9:16 videos)?

A: No. Currently, Vidrush only produces horizontal (16:9) videos suitable for long-form YouTube. The aspect ratio in the editor is non-editable.

Can I clone my own voice and use it?

A: Not directly inside Vidrush. However, if you have a cloned voice in ElevenLabs, you can import that Voice ID into Vidrush during the creation process to use it for narration. Soon there will be .mp3 Voice Support.

A: Yes. Vidrush uses integrated, licensed stock libraries for footage and music, meaning the assets are cleared for commercial use. However, you are responsible for the specific topic and script content you create.

Why is my video shorter than the duration I selected?

A: The duration selector is an estimate. The final length depends on:

Voice Speed: Some voices speak faster than others.

Content Density: If you select “10-12 minutes” but only provide 4 talking points, the AI runs out of things to say, resulting in a shorter video (e.g., 7 mins).

Fix: Follow the “Golden Rule” of ~0.5 talking points per minute.

Can Vidrush do comedy or sarcasm?

A: Yes, but only if you use Custom Script mode. The AI won’t inherently write jokes in Auto mode, but if you paste a funny script, the TTS will read it.

Can I make news videos with Vidrush?

A: Yes, but be careful with terminology.

Vidrush does B-Roll (Voiceover + Clips): This works great for news recaps.

Vidrush does NOT do A-Roll (Compilations): It cannot take a clip of a politician speaking and keep their original audio.

Is there a way to preview the script draft before generating the video?

A: Not currently, but it is on the roadmap (“To Do” list). For now, use Custom Script mode if you need 100% control over the text.

Can I downgrade my plan if I’m not getting views?

A: Yes. Go to Settings -> Manage Billing. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time.

What is the best AI for writing Custom Scripts?

A: The community consensus is Claude. It tends to write more natural, human-sounding scripts than ChatGPT.

Community & Support

Where do I find the latest updates?

A: The Discord Server is the source of truth. Check the #announcements channel daily. New features (like the “What’s Next” template or Transition updates) are posted there before they hit the documentation.

Is there a list of voices that work best?

A: Yes, the community maintains a list of “Golden Voices” (stable, human-sounding) and “Bad Voices” (glitchy) in the Discord. Always check this before committing to a long render.

Can I request a new feature?

A: Yes, Noah (the founder) actively asks for suggestions on Templates and Animations in the Discord. If you want a specific overlay style, post it there.

How can I get support from Vidrush?

A: You have two options:

Discord (Recommended): The fastest way. Join the community for announcements or DM team members like @ArrLost for manual approvals.

Email: You can reach out directly to contact@vidrush.ai for account assistance (But in 99% Discord is more Preferable).
